Zen Dragon School of Martial Arts has professional instructors with over 100 years of combined experience in
the Martial Arts. Our instructors teach all levels and experience levels.

Master David Bowers (6th Dan) has been a student of the martial arts since 1973. I began with Judo and changed
to Tae Kwon Do in 1980. In 1987 I received my black belt and currently hold a 6th Dan. All of my ranks are under Master Paul Wood. I do not remember a
day when I was not a martial artist. I love it with all my spirit. Every day I remind myself that I am blessed. I have trained under and with the likes
of 8th Dan Master Walter Thompson, 8th Dan Master Paul Wood, Eric Lee, Joe Lewis, George Dillman, James Del Real, Jay T Will, Gary Gregg and Professor
Raymond Ancho. I have trained under Grandmasters such as Professor Sigmond Kufferath, Leo Fong, Sei Oyatu, Michael DePasquale Jr., Sifu Shi Yan Ming
Dr. Yang Jwing Ming, Gary Alexander, Bill Superfoot Wallace and Fumio Demura. |

Master Kevin Barnhart (5th Dan) is assistant instructor and has been
training with Master Bowers for over 20 years. He has been teaching for over 10 years and is Master Bowers'
second in command. He also began at the Cobra School and followed Master Bowers when he started his own school. |

Andrew Smeltz has studied tai chi and other Chinese martial arts with some of
the most respected teachers in North America and China, and is a long-term student of José Johnson. He has earned
black belt rank from the Peng Fei Wushu Association of North America and the International Wushu Sanshou Dao
Association. Andrew has also won numerous awards at national competition including the U.S. Wushu Union Men’s
Internal All-Around Champion in 2002 and three-time Gold Medallist at the U.S. International Kuoshu Championships. |

Facility
Our facilities include the main dojo where most classes take place. A smaller dojo is used to split classes
up for more customized training, private lessons and ground fighting. The facilities are well maintained and
kept clean. We are located on Lincoln Way East in the Guilford Springs shopping center and there is plenty of
convenient parking.
